Our hospital management program is an integral part of our strategy for both containing costs and providing best service. Now we have more than 150 direct billing hospitals in China, including facilities in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Ningbo, Hangzhou, etc. This number of hospitals is constantly growing as we add new hospitals and clinics in response to the needs of our clients. This takes away large-sum, upfront cash payments and troubles of having to submit claims. The Chinese direct billing hospital network includes almost all of the Foreigners Wings or VIP departments at top class public medical facilities (Grade A) and some international medical facilities.
Note: There may be different coverage/reimbursement standards at some of the direct billing hospitals. In addition, certain facilities may not provide direct billing service for customized plans. Please check "China Direct Billing Hospitals List" and Rider for the final accuracy. Our direct billing providers are not representatives of CCIC/GBG/TieCare. Direct billing providers merely provide a convenient service for our members by sending bills to us for direct settlement. It is not their responsibility to determine whether or not certain treatments are covered under your health plan. If you are unclear about your health coverage/benefits, you are encouraged to contact GBGs China Service Center at 021-5089-0330 and a service representative will happily assist you. In some cases, a direct billing claim may not be covered, due to reasons such as: the treatment is excluded under the Policy, or you have exceeded the maximum benefit for the policy year, etc. In such a case, our Claims Accounting department will contact you to ask that you reimburse us for the expenses if we have already paid the hospital on your behalf.
